Waking up early for work or daily tasks can sometimes weigh you down. So starting your morning on a positive note may take some practice and getting used to, but it is well worth it. These ideas will help you kickstart your morning, so you’re feeling ready to WIN the day ahead.

Prepare the night before

A key way to enhance your morning is to be ready for it. If you organize your clothes the night before, prepare your lunch or pack your bag – these tasks won’t be on your mind when you wake up, and you will have more time to focus on manifesting a great morning by enjoying your breakfast and getting ready. Feeling prepared the night before also helps you rest easier when it’s time to call it a day.

Get a good night’s sleep

Sleep is paramount to our health and wellbeing. So creating an environment that benefits sleep is important such as turning off or dimming the lights, diffusing some lavender oil aromatherapy and drinking a Four Sigmatic reishi mushroom drink for some ultimate evening chill vibes. Oh, and in case you have a faulty AC unit that’s causing you to overheat at night, 24 Hour Air Conditioning Repair can provide you with a solution.

Choose your alarm clock wisely

Waking up to a loud, jarring sound is going to irritate you from the start. So choosing a sound that eases you into the day gently is a better idea. Many smartphones have the option of natural wake-up sounds like birdsong. If you need something louder to raise you from a deep sleep, try an upbeat song or a sound that will make you laugh.

Freshen up

Many people like to wash the night before to save time, but a morning shower is a great way to wake up the body. Cold to cool temperature water is great for increasing circulation. Plus, when you feel clean, you will feel ready to take on the day.

Be mindful

Mindfulness is a state that allows us to take in the present moment and not be bogged down by the past or worried about the future. It’s relatively tricky to maintain this state, but adding 10 minutes of dedicated mindfulness to your morning routine will help relax the nervous system and encourage a positive mindset. Meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises are all sure ways to achieve a more mindful state.

Celebrate the small wins

Writing down in a Live Your Legendary Life Journal or even saying out loud a few things that went well the day before can encourage a can-do attitude for the long day ahead.

Eat well

Your mindset and performance are heavily affected by the food you consume. If you skip breakfast, you will likely be distracted by your hunger and find it difficult to focus. There are plenty of tasty breakfast options that will fill you up and provide nutrients. My favorites include oatmeal, fruit especially berries, whole-grain toast with avocados or jam, and cage-free eggs.

Walk or cycle to work

If it is feasible, walking or cycling to work will allow you to get some exercise and fresh air before beginning your day. Exercise is proven to increase levels of dopamine and endorphins, which make us feel happy. It also rids our brain of chemicals that make us feel stressed or anxious.

Dance Around

And if walking or cycling ain’t possible, there’s always an option to dance naked in the shower, while getting ready and preparing your breakfast. A feel-good song in the background along with some corny moves, is always a sure pick-me-upper to kickstart the morning with some good ol’ vibes! 🙂
