A healthy WINNING skin reflects on your overall health and wellness. How good your skin looks doesn't just depend on your skincare routine or the products you use, but also on what you eat and how you look after your body and well-being too. With that in mind, here are a few tips to help you get that healthy WINNING skin from the inside and out.
Drink Tons Of Clean Water!
I drink water like a baby drinks milk. This is one of the simplest, cheapest, and most effective ways you can do to contribute to your skin health. Our body is made up mostly of water. It hydrates the skin so that it becomes smooth, plump, and radiant instead of dry and flaky. It also prevents wrinkles and improves overall complexion. Replace as many of your colored drinks with clean drinking water and you will start to notice a difference in as early as one week.
Exfoliating your skin is not optional if you want it to look optimal. Your skin is always regenerating, which means you’ll often be left with a layer of dead dull skin. And that ruins your appearance and cause flaking. Getting rid of this ugly layer by gently exfoliating will enable your new, radiant layer of skin to shine through and ensure you with a healthy glow. Ideally, you should exfoliate two or three times a week, but if you have particularly sensitive skin, you may have to cut that down to once a week. My favorite natural exfoliant recipe? Coffee granules or brown sugar mixed with extra virgin coconut oil or pili pulp oil! Your skin feels like that of a baby the moment you rinse it off with a mild, foaming cleanser!
Always Wear Sunscreen!
The sun, especially during it's peak, can be pretty harsh on your skin, causing you to age prematurely if you are exposed to it without protection. Always wear a decent SPF sunscreen when you’re going outside for long period of hours during the day. For everyday use, SPF 20 or above is ideal. For outdoors, SPF 50. Eat a Healthy Balanced Diet!
When it comes to your skin, you really are what you eat. And eating a diet that's rich in fiber, fruits and vegetables will infuse your skin with all of the vitamins and minerals it needs to look amazing. Fruits and vegetables in particular, are high in antioxidants which prevent free radicals from breaking your skin down and causing fine lines and wrinkles. So please eat them in abundance!
